I’ll be honest, I hate introductions. How am I supposed to
sum up all of myself in a matter of sentences. I always prefer just to have a
one on one conversation and learn of each other’s lives together. I worry a
little too much about being misjudged. I figure though this blog has gone long
enough without giving you a little more detail on my life but just understand
this does not define completely who I have been, who I am, and who I will
become.
Currently, my main role is helping my two beautiful
daughters grow into responsible, confident, caring, contributing members of
society. That is my long term goal that tends to get lost in the daily grind of
feedings, changings, and sleeping. “Ducky” is my oldest at almost 3 years old
and my “Sunshine” just had her 1st birthday. They are one of my
greatest gifts as they painfully pull out all my weaknesses which I pathetically
try to improve on. I think that is what makes parenthood so challenging and difficult
is the realization to how imperfect we really are.
Speaking of greatest gifts my husband and I will be
celebrating our 4 year anniversary this year. I know, how have we made it this
long? My “Hunky Man” has amazingly humbled himself to be so understanding and
caring about my struggles and weaknesses. I have to say that I still hold on to
my pride and stubbornness as a pathetic layer of security and know that if it
wasn't for his patience with me, this great thing we have probably wouldn't be
so great.
I really enjoy practically anything. Lately, I have love
planning different parties and taking cute ideas I see online and turning them
into something real. I am a lover of art although I haven’t been too involved
lately my 2 year old has inspired me to look into taking a painting class
again. I love anything nature and hope to one day go on a backpacking adventure
(first I have to get past camping without an actual toilet). I am a lover of
life and although I feel it is a progression I always try to enjoy living where
I am and learning from current and past experiences.
I have a genuine love for
others and try to be very respectful and understanding of different lifestyles,
beliefs and opinions. I am a firm believer that my right isn't right for you
and vise-versa. We all come from so many different backgrounds, have different challenges
and desires there’s no way the same thing would work for all of us. I am
passionate about understanding others and what drives them and their beliefs, I
find it extremely interesting so please share I traveled the world as a child
and hope to continue to meet more people from different backgrounds even if I
can’t afford to go anywhere new. I guess that is one of the blessings of the
world wide web. Maybe this is really a selfish endeavor because in reality as I
learn about the lives of others I am able to improve on my own.

And here is an updated photo from Valentines Day of my little Ducky and Sunshine.

These recent picture of my girls was done by an amazing talented friend of mine. If you would like to see more of her talent check out erindphotography.com. She also gives great tips on her blog!
